Get to Know Me

I have learned that change is truly the only constant and that it is important to always move forward in life.

I was determined that I would do this; I would start over and not look back. I became a single mom, moved with my three young sons to a new town, and started over again personally as well as professionally in real estate.

As a single mom, I made the best choice I could for myself and my children; we had to leave our family home and I had to give up my college studies. At the time, I had been working on a degree in Psychophysiology which is a triple major in psychology, biology, and chemistry. My Banking, Lending, and Real Estate experience was learned firsthand as I never had an opportunity to finish my college degree.

When two of my three sons were a few years old, it became clear to me that they were struggling with some very specific educational and developmental issues. I decided to learn all that I could about those needs, which led me back to college. I enjoyed school and was always at the top of my classes. I would have pursued a doctoral program in multiple disciplines had I continued. However, I set everything aside to create a new life for my boys and myself. In making this move, I always kept my son's needs first and foremost and didn’t regret the decisions I made for their benefit.

It was stressful and scary starting over on my own and building a new life in a town where I knew very few people. The timing was terrible as the recession was right on our heels after our move. I stood by as every single one of my real estate deals fell through that year due to declining values. I also saw countless people lose their jobs and then their homes. For two years, I was afraid that we might lose the roof over our heads too through it all. I kept working and doing all I could while refusing to give up. Fortunately, with the help of close friends, we were never homeless and we made it through the next few years slowly rebuilding and recovering from the economic downturn.

Being a parent is never easy and doing it on my own was that much harder. It took a lot of time and love but in the end, my boys turned into amazing people that I love to spend time with and I also call my friends. Long before I became a mom, I realized that we control our own limitations. Whether we do it on purpose or adopt the beliefs that others impose on us it is often hard to disrupt these limiting beliefs. When I was younger, I participated in many self-awareness trainings and through this process, I awakened spiritually. I truly believe that with enough understanding and empathy, anything is possible. Determination is also required to move beyond those dark times and toward a brighter future.

I have no regrets although there have been tough times and difficult people throughout my life. I have learned that forgiveness is more about and for me than anyone else. I am one person doing what I can to make as many positive ripples in this pond called life.

I became a licensed Agent in 1988 after thirteen years in banking and lending; I knew I could help more people on the other side of the desk as a real estate agent. My favorite part of being a Real Estate Broker is connecting with many different people and helping them on their path to achieving their home ownership dreams. I enjoy rehabbing houses and helping my clients rehab their homes when I’m not working along with helping the feral cat community and animal rescue.

Whether you are buying or selling a home; you want someone who knows the process both inside and out. This is where my thirteen years of experience in lending and over three decades of experience as an Agent/Broker are a benefit to you. I have watched as this industry has gone through multiple sales cycles in commercials. residential. and vacant land, I know how to handle the complications that arise as no two deals are the same. A real estate Broker is basically the leader of a five-ring circus in order to stay on top of all the constantly changing variables. I provide oversight to the transaction by paying close attention to all of these variables. I have resources and connections in every part of the industry and I keep you informed as our transaction progresses. My desire is for you to make the best decision to fit your long-term as well as your lifestyle needs. Once you become my client. you are more than just a person; you are someone I care about. That is why when the deal is done and the contract is signed, I will still be there to support you as your lifelong Real Estate Broker and Agent.
